Beth Dawson is a jewellery specialist, historian and gemmologist based between Shrewsbury and London.

Specialising in antique and vintage jewellery, she works across private sourcing, bespoke commissions and collector advisory, helping clients build meaningful jewellery collections over a lifetime. Alongside private client work, Beth collaborates with dealers, auction houses and brands on historical research, curation and consultancy projects. She also writes and speaks about the history of jewellery.

Alongside sourcing and advisory work, Beth designs bespoke jewellery for private clients, creating original pieces or reimagining jewellery and gemstones into something new. Every commission is informed by her background in antique jewellery and shaped by a collector’s perspective, bringing wearability and sentimentality to the design process, to create future heirlooms.

Having worked with jewellery dealers and at auction houses, Beth has experience of cataloguing, valuation and the commercial jewellery market. She holds a master’s degree in the history of jewellery, with a special focus on the overlooked contributions of women jewellers from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century.

She is also a member of the Society of Jewellery Historians and a qualified gemmologist, holding both FGA and DGA qualifications from The Gemmological Association of Great Britain.
